SIMULATOR FOR TRAINING OIL PUMP STATION OPERATORS
The operator simulator is intended for training oil pump station operators to use and control the technological equipment of the oil pump station in normal and emergency conditions. To do this they use the microprocessor-based and computer-controlled equipment automatics. The simulator is also intended to help them acquire skills to use the system-generated operations reports, trends, process condition datasheets, etc.
The simulator consists of 1 workstation for the instructor and up to 50 workstations for trainees. The workstations are connected into the local area network.
In addition, this simulator can be used in combination with the dispatcher simulator which is installed either on a separate workstation or on any workstation or workstations which are included in the pump station operator simulator as component parts.
This simulator can also be used in combination with the leak detection system simulator which is installed either on a separate workstation or on any workstation or workstations which are included in the pump station operator simulator as component parts.
Installed in the instructor's automated workstation is a mathematical model of two parallel oil pipeline sections, each having 3 different-type oil pump stations.

The emergency situation generator allows quick and easy adjustment of a successive sequence of emergency situations which occur at a preset time. This allows to create a real emergency situation. For instance, when voltage failure occurs on one of the power bus lines, then the equipment connected to that bus line is de-energized, or, for example, if fire occurs in the oil-sump, it results in invalid or unreliable parameter readings sent to the system by the analogue devices, etc.
