Simulator for training oil trunk pipeline dispatchers

Purpose

      The dispatcher simulator is intended for training dispatchers of trunk pipeline sections to use and control the technological equipment and control the pipeline sections in normal and emergency conditions. To do this they use the microprocessor-based and computer-controlled equipment automatics. The simulator is also intended to help them acquire skills to use the system-generated operations reports, trends, process condition datasheets, etc.

Components

      The simulator consists of 1 workstation for the instructor and up to 50 workstations for trainees. The workstations are connected into the local area network.

      In addition, this simulator can be used in combination with the oil pump station operator simulator which is installed either on a separate workstation or on any workstation or workstations which are included in the dispatcher training simulator as component parts.

      This simulator can also be used in combination with the leak detection system simulator, which is installed either on a separate workstation or on any workstation or workstations which are included in the dispatcher training simulator as component parts.
